WubbaNubs are ideal for the NICU. Preemies or sick babies usually love to suck on something. You will often find them sucking on feeding tubes. Even though preemies want to suck just as any newborn does, they often do not have the strength to hold a paci in their mouth. For this a WubbaNub is a real winner in my mind. We used to stand with Ava literally for hours, holding her little paci in for her so she could suck away. A WubbaNub is light enough that it can sit right on them, giving them a sense of being snuggled while they can contently suck away soothing themselves.
