Sean Daneshmand, founder of Miracle Babies
A few years after Ava's birth, Sean as he often does, started feeling that he could be doing more, as if he doesn't do so much already! But his heart is so big that he wanted to help everyone, and started a venture to create a non profit organization to do that. Eventually he settled on focusing his energies on the area he is most passionate about and knows so well, the women who are fighting for the lives of their unborn children and their families.
On a daily basis Sean sees the heart wrenching pain that these women go through. There is the toll that it all takes on their families and their economical stability. With this knowledge, his organization began to take shape and Miracle Babies was born.

Today in it's 4th year Miracle Babies has grown in leaps and bounds, with 100s of families receiving assistance in the form of emotional, life style and financial support. MB provides fuel and bus tickets to get to the hospital, infant clothing, medications once home, makes arrangements for hotels close to the hospital if needed. They provide food, help make arrangements for baby sitters for siblings and yes they can even help pay the mortgage or rent so that families can stay in their homes while the NICU experience plays havoc with their family economic situation.
Miracle Babies 5K~2011
This November 11, 2012 marks the 4th MB 5K Walk/Run in San Diego's beautiful Mission Bay. It is their largest fund raiser of the year and they count on a large turnout and generous donations to carry these families through the next 12 months. Come if you can, make it a vacation in the beautiful San Diego area, but if you can't, can you please make a donation to this amazing organization? Team AvaBaby's have set a very modest goal of $500, but if we can shoot right past that......well HOORAY for us!
